Force in Nature
The Tucson sun touches all that is home,
lines of saguaros nestle in the winter hills.
Holding tightly to the idea of spring showers,
with a longing for excitement and spring thrills.
Having my voice be the guide to love,
I can finally express the beauty in my eyes.
Not only is the night sky honest and light,
the cacti bloom with a vigor for life so wise.
Into the monsoon storm the summer flows,
washing away the desert heat with the wind.
I wonder this time if I can feel it,
though not obvious, I welcome the rains on my skin.
The infinite sunsets speak in ways I can only dream of,
I am relentless in my efforts to be loud.
The call of the day comes in bird songs,
I am a force of nature, spelling and proud.
