The Learning Hub

The Tucson Spellers Learning Hub is Tucson Spellers' weekly educational program designed to support nonspeaking, minimally speaking, and unreliably speaking individuals - and the people who support them - through communication, movement, regulation, and community. The Learning Hub brings together three complementary programs that provide ongoing opportunities for learning, skill development, and meaningful connection throughout the year:

  • Communication & Regulation Partner (CRP) Support and Skill Building Workshop – A 12-week, bi-weekly instructional workshop (offered three times per year) lead by a Certified S2C Practitioner that equips non-parental CRPs with the knowledge and hands-on coaching needed to support apraxic bodies, presume competence, foster regulation, and build foundational Spelling to Communicate (S2C) skills.

  • Extension Course – A weekly enrichment class where adult spellers continue developing communication skills through purposeful movement, educational activities, creative projects, and meaningful social experiences in a supportive group setting.

  • Movement, Motor Planning, and Body Awareness Class – A biweekly class focused on strengthening the motor, sensory, and regulatory foundations that support communication. Through purposeful movement, participants build body awareness, motor planning, executive functioning, confidence, and independence in an engaging and encouraging environment.
