Join us for a transformative art series led by acclaimed artist Matthew Palmo (www.palmoart.com)(www.indicatorArt.org). This inclusive experience is designed for artists of all abilities to create an original abstract painting using an intuitive, individualized approach.

This is not a traditional art class. Each participant will work independently on a unique piece, supported by Matthew’s one-on-one guidance. No two paintings will be the same. The process honors each artist’s voice and style, emphasizing that limitations can become strengths in the creative process.

A third session will include an online art critique by professional artists. Date and time to be announced.

Thanks to our incredible friends at Teva Community, Tucson Spellers had the opportunity to take on the climbing walls at Rock Solid Climbing and Fitness, and it was an unforgettable experience. Rock climbing is no easy feat, but each participant showed up with courage, determination, and a willingness to try something new. It was inspiring to watch everyone challenge their bodies, engage their minds, and push through tough moments—while supporting and cheering one another in such meaningful ways. Thank you for bringing your energy, focus, and enthusiasm, and for celebrating each other’s successes, both big and small. This event was more than just climbing—it was about connection, growth, and being inspired by the strength and spirit of our community. What a fun and memorable evening we had last Wednesday at the beautiful and historic Monterey Court. Tucson Spellers and their families spent the evening dancing, laughing, enjoying delicious food, and soaking up the laid-back vibes of this amazing outdoor venue. We grooved to the original folk and Americana sounds of Don Armstrong & the Whiskeypalians while catching up with old friends and making new ones. The cool breeze, the misters, the music, and the company all made for a truly wonderful night. Thanks to everyone who joined us—we were having such a good time that we barely remembered to take any pictures.

Our recent sound healing gathering with Elizabeth from Aligned Healing at Sanctuary Cove was a profoundly peaceful and restorative experience. Elizabeth’s calm, grounded energy created a space where our spellers could truly thrive, leading to moments of deep regulation and connection. As one participant shared, “Moving through my nervous system, I feel grounded. I feel more centered in my soul.” Another simply said, “This is awesome! I feel so relaxed.” Being in community with other spellers always brings something special, and this event reminded us of the power of shared calm in a supportive, sensory-rich environment.

Another amazing day for the Speller community! We had a wonderful time connecting with friends, showing up for our community, and engaging in powerful outreach at the Southern Arizona Autism Society’s All In It for Autism Day. Thank you to all the Spellers, families, and support teams who made the event such a success, and a special shout-out to the Spellers who advocated for themselves at our Tucson Spellers table. Huge thanks to the Nagy/Tax family for helping lead the walking portion of our Bridging Voices Together team and to Inclusive Academy for being the other phenomenal half of this collaboration.
