The Neurolyrical Cafe is a virtual gathering where nonspeakers, who spell or type to communicate, can share their talents and express themselves through music, poetry, and art.
Every meetup has guest readers, instructors, and opportunities for nonspeakers to share their latest work and collaborate on a Spellerverse group poem. Each month, spellers come together in this space to open up, cheer each other on, share their opinions, and express their feelings.
Join us online, and share in the creativity.
SUBMISSIONS GUIDELINES:
If you'd like to present at Neurolyrical Cafe, please submit your presentation materials to communications@i-asc.org by the Wednesday before the event.
We welcome all creative submissions: Art work, poetry, songs, performance videos, etc. If you submit a song, please include the lyrics for increased accessibility.
To make sure we have enough time for this in every Cafe, we are limiting each person to ONE piece each. If you do an individual piece but also have a group piece, this is still okay to submit.
**Optional: Send in a headshot and short bio (2-3 sentences) to let the audience know a bit about you!
Community Meet-Up Disclaimer
While this event may include members of the Tucson Spellers community, it is not an official Tucson Spellers-sponsored event. Tucson Spellers is not responsible for the planning, coordination, or content of this event.
Please participate at your own discretion and connect directly with the host for any details or questions. Be mindful that scheduled events may change location, date, or time without Tucson Spellers' knowledge, so always be sure to check information directly with event hosts, locations, or businesses before proceeding.
We love to see our community connect—and this is one of many ways Spellers and families build friendships outside of our programming! Have fun!
