Annual Building Bridges Conference 

The Building Bridges Conference is Tucson Spellers' annual educational conference that brings together nonspeaking autistic individuals, families, educators, therapists, and community members for a day of learning, connection, and advocacy.

Through presentations by nonspeaking self-advocates, expert speakers, interactive breakout sessions, and opportunities to connect with local organizations, attendees gain a deeper understanding of apraxia, communication access, and the importance of presuming competence. More than a conference, Building Bridges is an opportunity to strengthen relationships, reduce isolation, and build a more informed, inclusive, and supportive community across Southern Arizona.
